Fudokan Romania organizes the 3rd “Sasori Cup” and the 85th Jubilee Gala dedicated to Prof. Dr. Ilija Jorga 10 Dan

FUDOKAN ROMANIA, in partnership with A.C.S. SASORI, successfully organized in Ploiești the third edition of the “Sasori Cup”, bringing together athletes, instructors, and enthusiasts of traditional karate from across the country.
A key moment of the weekend was the 85th Jubilee Gala, held on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at the CENTRAL **** Hotel, celebrating the life and achievements of Prof. Dr. Ilija Jorga, 10th Dan – Founder of Fudokan Karate.
A Tribute to a Lifetime Dedicated to Karate
“It is a great honor and joy for the members of the ACKF association to offer this anniversary gala to Prof. Dr. Ilija Jorga, Founder of Fudokan Karate — a man whose lifelong dedication to martial arts, education, and human values continues to inspire generations around the world,” stated Sensei Constantin Caliman, 7th Dan, President of the World Fudokan Federation (WFF).

The event was attended by numerous distinguished personalities and long-time disciples of Prof. Dr. Ilija Jorga, who honored him with their presence and expressed profound gratitude for his contributions to the development of world karate. Among the honored guests were:

Documentary Screening and Book Launch
During the Gala, attendees viewed a special documentary highlighting the remarkable life and legacy of Prof. Dr. Ilija Jorga, 10th Dan, and his unparalleled contribution to the global karate community.
Additionally, all 40 participants received a signed copy of the autobiographical book “KARATE – THE TRUE STORY OF SENSEI HIGASHIYAMA”, presented by the master himself.
